“FRANCISCA DE PEDRAZA CONTRA LA VIOLENCIA DE GÉNERO”

El Premio,
“Francisca de Pedraza contra la violencia de género”, se inspira en una mujer alcalaína que consiguió uno de los
hitos más importantes de la
Historia al ser posiblemente la primera mujer que se enfrento
al poder, logrando una sentencia sin precedentes.
La conquista de la
igualdad, el respeto a la dignidad humana y la libertad de las personas tienen
que ser objetivos prioritarios en todos los niveles de nuestra sociedad.
Con el fin de
contribuir a la promoción de tales valores, la Asociación de Mujeres
Progresistas de Alcalá de Henares ha creado este galardón, que se concederá
anualmente, con la finalidad de distinguir y reconocer la trayectoria de
aquellas personas, colectivos, entidades o instituciones que han destacado o
destaquen por su compromiso y dedicación en la lucha contra la violencia de
género. Por este motivo, la concesión y entrega del Premio tendrá lugar en los
días próximos al 25 de noviembre, fecha en la que se celebra la conmemoración
del Día Internacional contra la
Violencia de Género, en el Paraninfo de la Universidad de Alcalá.
-Bases de la convocatoria:
Primera.-
Objeto y finalidad
Las presentes bases tienen por objeto
convocar el Premio “Francisca de Pedraza
contra la violencia de género”. Su finalidad es reconocer y distinguir a
aquellas personas, colectivos, entidades o instituciones que destaquen o hayan
destacado en la prevención y erradicación de la violencia contra la mujer.
Segunda.-
Premio
El Premio “Francisca de Pedraza contra la violencia de género”, se materializa en dos modalidades:
1. Escultura en bronce del busto de Francisca de Pedraza.
2. Diploma de reconocimiento
Tercera.-
Participantes
1.
Podrán optar al Premio “Francisca de
Pedraza contra la violencia de
género”, las personas físicas mayores
de edad, así como los colectivos, entidades o instituciones que cuenten con una
trayectoria de compromiso y dedicación a la prevención y erradicación de
cualquier tipo de violencia de género.
2.
La participación en el Premio supone la
aceptación de las bases de esta convocatoria, así como del fallo del Jurado.
Cuarta.-
Plazo, forma y lugar de presentación.
1. El
plazo para la presentación de las candidaturas comenzará a partir del día
siguiente de la convocatoria, 13 de junio hasta el 1 de septiembre del presente
año, ambos inclusive.
2. Las
candidaturas al Premio “Francisca de
Pedraza contra la violencia de género”, serán presentadas mediante
propuesta dirigida a la
Asociación de Mujeres Progresistas de Alcalá de Henares.
3. La candidatura deberá
acompañarse de la siguiente documentación:
a) Méritos y
motivación en los que se basa la propuesta, de acuerdo con las bases de la
convocatoria.
b) Cualquier otra
información o documentación que justifique la idoneidad de la propuesta
formulada.
4. Las
candidaturas se presentaran a través de correo electrónico a la siguiente
dirección: secretaria.progresistasalcala@gmail.com
Quinta.
Valoración y Fallo.
1.
La valoración de las candidaturas se
efectuará por un Jurado presidido por la Presidencia de la Asociación de Mujeres
Progresista de Alcalá de Henares y constituido por personas expertas en la
figura de Francisca de Pedraza y en materia de violencia de género, de acuerdo
con la siguiente composición:
-
Dos personas en representación de la Asociación de Mujeres
Progresistas de Alcalá de Henares (AMPAdH).
-
Una persona en representación de la Universidad de Alcalá
(UAH).
-
Una persona en representación del Excmo.
Ayuntamiento de Alcalá de Henares.
-
Una persona en representación del Ilustre
Colegio de Abogados de Alcalá.
-
Una persona experta en la figura de Francisca
de Pedraza.
-
Una persona en representación de la entidad
premiada en la segunda edición del Premio Francisca de Pedraza
-
Una persona experta en violencia de género en
representación de la Judicatura de Alcalá de
Henares.
-
Una persona en representación de una entidad experta
en la lucha contra la violencia de género.
Las
funciones de Secretaría del Jurado serán desarrolladas por la Secretaría de la
AMPAdH, que actuará con voz pero sin voto.
2.
La sesión constitutiva del Jurado designado,
conforme el apartado anterior, tendrá lugar en la primera quincena de
septiembre examinándose en la misma las
propuestas previamente presentadas.
3.
Los criterios de valoración, que se tendrán
en cuenta por los miembros del Jurado serán, entre otros, los siguientes:
a) Currículum
vitae o memoria descriptiva de la trayectoria de las personas físicas o
colectivos, entidades o instituciones que con su trayectoria o labor hayan
destacado o destaquen en la lucha contra la violencia de género. Valorándose
las acciones desarrolladas en la lucha contra
la violencia de género y la erradicación de la violencia machista en sus
distintas formas y su incidencia en la sociedad.
b) Participación
y promoción en iniciativas contra la violencia de género de carácter
internacional.
c) Publicaciones
relacionadas con la materia objeto del premio.
d) Aportaciones
innovadoras, conceptuales o procedimentales para erradicar la violencia de género
o cualquier otra forma de violencia contra la mujer.
e) Implicación
en la lucha contra cualquier forma de violencia hacia la mujer.
4. La votación de las candidaturas por parte del
Jurado, se ajustará a las siguientes reglas:
a) Una
vez finalizado el plazo de presentación de candidaturas, los miembros del
Jurado recibirán una copia para su estudio y valoración.
b) Reunido
presencialmente el Jurado, cada miembro votará a un máximo de dos candidaturas
para cada modalidad del premio.
c) Las
deliberaciones y votaciones se realizarán por cada modalidad, y se considerará
vencedora en cada una de ellas la que obtenga mayor número de votos de las
personas que integran el Jurado.
d) En
caso de empate tendrá voto de calidad la presidencia del jurado.
Sexta.-Resolución
y Publicación
La resolución del Jurado será notificada
el 25 de septiembre de 2018 por la
Presidencia de la AMPAdH a las personas o entidades premiadas y se hará pública
la concesión del premio.
Séptima.-Acto
de entrega del Premio.
El Acto de entrega del Premio tendrá
lugar en el Paraninfo de la
Universidad de Alcalá, en fechas cercanas a la celebración
del día Internacional contra la violencia de género.

"FRANCISCA DE PEDRAZA AGAINST
GENDER VIOLENCE"

The Prize, "Francisca de Pedraza against gender
violence", is inspired by a woman from Alcalá de Henares who achieved one
of the most important milestones in history as she was possibly the first woman
to face power, achieving an unprecedented sentence.
The conquest of equality, respect
for human dignity and the freedom of people must be priority objectives at all
levels of our society.
In order to contribute to the promotion of such values,
the Association of Mujeres progresistas de Alcalá de Henares has created this
award, which will be granted annually, so as
to distinguish and recognize the trajectory of those people, groups,
entities or institutions that have stood
out or stand out for their commitment and dedication in the fight against
gender violence. For this reason, the award and Prize-giving will take place in the days around November
25th , the date on which the commemoration of the International Day against
Gender Violence is celebrated, in the Auditorium of the University of Alcalá.
-BASE STAGES:
FIRST.-
OBJECT AND PURPOSE
The present bases are intended to convene the
"Francisca de Pedraza against gender violence" Prize. Its purpose is
to recognize and distinguish those individuals, groups, entities or
institutions that stand out or have excelled in the prevention and eradication
of violence against women.
SECOND.-
PRIZE
The "Francisca de Pedraza against gender
violence" Prize is materialized in two modalities:
1. Bronze sculpture of the bust of Francisca de Pedraza.
2. Diploma of recognition.
THIRD.-
PARTICIPANTS
1. They will be eligible for the "Francisca de
Pedraza against gender violence" Prize, natural persons of legal age, as
well as collectives, entities or institutions with a history of commitment and
dedication to the prevention and eradication of any type of gender violence.
2. Participation in the Prize implies the acceptance of
the bases of this call, as well as the decision of the Jury.
FOURTH.-
TERM, FORM AND PLACE OF PRESENTATION.
1. The deadline for submitting candidatures will start
from the day after the call, June 13rd
to September 1st of this year, both included.
2. The candidacies for the "Francisca de Pedraza
against gender violence" Prize will be presented through a proposal
addressed to the Association of Mujeres progresistas de Alcalá de Henares.
3. The application must be accompanied by the following
documentation:
a) Merits and motivation on which the proposal is based,
according to the rules of the call.
b) Any other information or documentation that justifies
the suitability of the proposal made.
4. The candidatures will be presented by email to the

FIFTH
VALUATION AND JURY’S DECISION
1. The evaluation of the candidatures will be carried out
by a jury chaired by the Presidency of the Association of Mujeres progresistas
of Alcalá de Henares and constituted by experts in the figure of Francisca de
Pedraza and in matters of gender violence, in accordance with the following
composition:
- Two people representing the Association of Mujeres
progresistas
of Alcalá de
Henares (AMPAdH).
- One person representing the University of Alcalá (UAH).
- A person representing the City Council of Alcalá de Henares.
- One person representing the Illustrious Bar Association
of Alcalá.
- A person expert in the figure of Francisca de Pedraza.
- One person representing the entity awarded in the
second edition of the Francisca de Pedraza Prize
- A person expert in gender violence on behalf of the
Judicature of Alcalá de Henares.
- A person representing an expert entity in the fight
against gender violence.
The functions of Secretariat of the Jury will be
developed by the Secretariat of the AMPAdH, which will act with voice but
without vote.
2. The constitutive session of the Jury appointed,
according to the previous section, will take place in the first half of
September being examined in this time the previously submitted proposals.
3. The evaluation criteria, which will be taken into
account by the members of the Jury will be, among others, the following:
a) Curriculum vitae or descriptive memory of the
trajectory of the individuals or groups, entities or institutions that with
their career or work have stood out or stand out in the fight against gender
violence. Being Assessed the actions developed in the fight against
gender violence and the eradication of sexist violence in its different forms
and its impact on society.
b) Participation and promotion in initiatives against
international gender violence.
c) Publications related to the subject matter of the
award.
d) Innovative, conceptual or procedural contributions to
eradicate gender violence or any other form of violence against women.
e) Involvement in the fight against any form of violence
against women.
4. The voting of the candidacies by the Jury, will be
adjusted to the following rules:
a) Once the deadline for submitting candidacies has
expired, the members of the Jury will receive a copy for study and evaluation.
b) Once the jury has met, each member will vote for a
maximum of two candidates for each modality o
c) The deliberations and votes will be carried out for
each modality, and it will be considered the winner in each of them the one
that obtains the greater number of votes of the people that make up the Jury.
d) In the event of a tie, the presidency of the jury will
have a casting vote.
SIXTH.-
RESOLUTION AND PUBLICATION
The jury's decision will be notified on September 25th by
the Presidency of the AMPAdH to the awarded persons or entities and the
awarding of the prize will be made public
SEVENTH.- PRIZE-GIVING ACT
The award ceremony will take place in the auditorium of
the University of Alcalá, on dates close to the celebration of the
International Day against gender violence.
